Nana and Grandpa Coach!

As soon as school was out Nana and Grandpa Coach were on their way to see us.  Hooray.  It was a much needed reunion.  A lot has happened in the last year.  Grandpa Coach was sick. I broke my leg.  And on a happier note our little Emersynn joined our family.
The kids were super excited.

This was about all I saw of Grandpa Coach.  Jordynn was almost always by his side (here she is sad that he is sharing his attention with the boys).  And the boys were always wanting to wrestle with him.

Don't worry Nana got plenty of attention too.

Kade and Grandpa Coach showing me their 'cool' faces.

Our little Emersynn is getting so big.  Her dark hair has faded and so has her mellow nature.  Don't get me wrong she is still an awesome baby.  She has just become VERY active.  Can't slow her down for anything.  She started crawling at 6 months and now at 7 months she is already pulling herself up and starting to cruise on the furniture.

Of course, we can't have Nana and not have science time.  The girls just like wearing the awesome goggles!  Nana had some fantastic experiments lined up for us.  The kids dissected owl pellets (yuck!), cleaned pennies, dissolved an egg shell, launched rockets, and more.

Here the kids are launching their alka seltzer rockets.  So easy and so much fun!!

Landscaping, Finally!

Landscaping is the final project on our home renovations.  Seeing as how we move in less than two months we can say we left this project for the final hour.  The front yard has always had grass but the backyard has been nothing more than weeds (and a vegetable garden).  It's never stopped the kids from playing back there, but they are LOVING the new grass.  We still have to add the rocks in the borders but it has made such a difference.

Reward Ride!

What better way to reward the kids for excellent grades then to take a ride with Dad on his new motorcycle.  They thought it was AWESOME!!!  I think Dad enjoyed himself too.
Trayton received an attendance reward, the Presidential Fitness award, and a class award for being the hardest worker.
Kade received the attendance reward and the top three academic in his class.

Discovery Preschool

I'm so thankful for Ms. Pippin and Ms. Kennady.  For five consecutive years they have taken my children in and helped them learn and grow.  My children always loved to go to school and I was always happy to drop them off.

Jordynn has Loved school this year.  Social Butterfly.  Every day she tells me about the new friends she makes.  She was especially excited about her end of the year concert.  Talk about animated.  Haha. Love this crazy girl.

Braelynn turned 3 on May 5th and was finally old enough to attend preschool.  Unfortunately, there was only two days left until school was out and Mom is too cheap to pay for two days of school.  Ms. Pippin remembered it was her birthday and asked if I would let her come for the last two days.  They acted like I was doing them a favor.  Haha. Love these two women.  Braelynn was stoked.  She could hardly wait for school to start.  She kept saying, "Mom, I stay and you leave."  She's growing up way too fast.
